About the Role
\nAs the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead all areas of Finance and Analytics at Reverb, including Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis and Business Analytics. You will partner closely with the CEO to craft the financial and business strategy to ensure continued profitability and growth. You will report to Reverb's CEO and function as a key member of the Reverb Executive Team (ET).

Remote Executive Team members are committed to traveling to the Chicago office 1x/month on an ongoing basis to collaborate with their peers and other members of the organization.
In this role you will...
- Support Reverb's strategic vision and effectively drive business impact by leading an organization that is intelligent and adaptable to data
- Serve as a strategic advisory partner to the CEO and Executive Team on critical cross-functional initiatives and decisions
- Own and lead the Annual Operating Planning process with an emphasis on collaboration with your fellow ET members
- Continually assess and analyze the monthly forecast; prepare monthly earnings reports and forecasts
- Collaborate with peers, other departments and teams to evaluate trends in the Music Industry, connect data to core business opportunities and devise and implement growth initiatives
- Advise and consult with business development team on strategic partnership opportunities with brands and manufacturers
- Manage and guide a collective team of over twenty professionals across disciplines
- Lead all aspects of the development and monitoring of the operating budget
- Partner on cross-functional initiatives to ensure goals are met
- Attract and retain a diverse, high caliber, goal-oriented team by fostering a culture of inclusion
Qualifications
- 15+ years of combined experience in Finance/Accounting/Analytics, ideally in an ecommerce marketplace or high-growth ecommerce organization.
- Expertise analyzing data to make recommendations on financial and organizational strategy while balancing short term and long term goals.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills that enable you to counsel executives while also presenting complicated financial data into a digestible format to a variety of audiences across the company.
- Strong business development experience including direct management of business partnerships or advising business teams on strategic transactions
- A positive track record of mentoring, developing, and growing professionals across a range of functions and levels
- Believe in and be eager to contribute to and further our mission
- Existing knowledge of the Musical Instrument industry is a plus
