Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in consulting or sales at a technology or media company.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree in technical or quantitative field.
- Experience in coding (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python or Java) and familiarity with SQL.
- Experience in consumer internet and media industries.
- Experience communicating and influencing a range of audiences, including executive leaders.
- Exceptional business judgment and excellent financial modeling, spreadsheet software, and presentation software skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
The YouTube Strategy, Business Operations, Analytics, and Finance (SBAF) team's mission is to make YouTube commercially sustainable and more valuable, by identifying and steering the business towards opportunities, guiding the organization to make the best possible decisions, and enabling effective implementation and operations, with proactive and trusted risk management.
The SBAF team works closely with YouTube and Google Finance leadership across the product, engineering, and business organizations to address challenges and opportunities across the company, help chart the long-term direction and financial health of YouTube, and provide analytics and decision support for the planning and steering of the business.
Responsibilities
- Work on the priorities of YouTube's executives and, as part of the Strategy team, determine how best to take on solving opportunities and challenging problems.
- Structure, launch, and drive work streams by developing hypotheses, translate them into work plans, and conduct analysis, including financial models, analyzing market/competitive trends, business drivers, and operating metrics.
- Prepare presentations and communicate findings to YouTube's executives and the broader organization.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align on recommendations, financial and headcount investment needs, launch plans, and enable and transition to short-term and long-term owners.
