Finance Associate / Senior Associate

About the Role 70% of your time on:
- Guiding client servicing team to obtain appropriate documentations required in setting up client and vendor account in accounting system.
- Work closely with client service team to ensure billings are generated timely and accurately.
- Follow up with client service team on outstanding clients-related issues, e.g., aged debtors, revenue recognition.
- Liaison with Shared Service team when answering queries from client servicing team regarding settlement of supplier accounts/ invoices.
- Review Debtors Ageing Report, follow up with Shared Service Team or client on overdue invoices to ensure timely collection of debts.
30% of your time on:
- Preparing and analyzing monthly balance sheet items such as WIP, accruals, pre-billings, prepayments, etc.
- Preparation of journals and keeping proper supporting documentation and filing in preparation for audit.
- Assist in managing accurate revenue recognition and WIP (work-in progress) entries.
- Assist in other ah-hoc assignments.
What You’ll Need Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Individuals with 1-2 years’ relevant working experiences in advertising agencies is an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Positive attitude towards problem solving
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task whilst maintaining strong attention to details
- Team player with a can-do attitude who enjoys a fast-paced work environment
- Independent, highly motivated and committed
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Desirable
- Knowledge of Deltek Maconomy is a bonus
- Experience of working in service industry / advertising / creative / PR agency is a bonus
- Good communication skills
- Able to start work immediately or in short notice (preferred)
