GenScript ProBio is the subsidiary of GenScript Biotech Corporation, proactively providing end-to-end CDMO service from drug discovery to commercialization with proactive strategies, professional solutions and efficient processes in cell and gene therapy (CGT), vaccine, biologics discovery and antibody protein drug to accelerate drug development for customers. GenScript ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing. Position: Field Application Scientist, Korea
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Position Summary
We are looking for Field Application Scientist (FAS) to serve as a primary technical field contact for our customers. The FAS will function as a liaison between the customer and the company. In this capacity he/ she is responsible for the pre- and post-sales onsite technical support and market development activities for products/services including protein expression, antibody discovery and stable cell line development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expert understanding and strong technical competency in discussing our capabilities and product offering with customers
- Provide application support for pre- and post-sale activities for seminars/products demonstrations to help support the sales team to achieve sales goal
- Extensive local and regional travel to work in the field with sales team, attend TC/meetings with key customers, provide training, and give speech in conferences
- Support and provide training to new customers & distributors
- Provide high level technical support to the customer in discussing and design requirements and providing guidance or input on customers’ experiments
- Liaise between customer, sales team, product management, and other internal teams including project team, R&D and Production
- Network with customers and provide feedback to product marketing on customer requirements for new applications or products
- Keep informed of competitive market information from seminars, trade shows, conferences and customers’ voices and provide reports on trends to sales and marketing team
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in protein engineering, antibody production, immunology or related field. Experience with antibody discovery, protein expression and analysis or immunotherapy is preferred
- Experience with field application scientist, technical sales, product management and public speaking is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essentials
- High self-motivation and must have demonstrated ability to work in collaborative team environment
