Job Responsibilities:

Mission of this role:

  • This role Feature Owner for camera functions, which may be detection functions (e.g. objects, traffic signals/signs, and lanes) as well as camera calibration algorithms executed during product use and in production processes.
  • The role interfaces with customers, and coordinates work across internal global organizations. It applies technical knowledge and skills throughout system analysis, design, verification, and validation to meet internal standards and customer requirements.
  • The Calibration Feature Owner role also provides technical support for production quality, yield, and capacity.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Feature Owner leads development (or customization) of a camera function such as objects/signals/signs/lane detection, dynamic calibrations, or defect detection in optics.
  • Lead and coordinate validation of the function up to customer approval.
  • Production process support may be required. (e.g. calibration processes, EOL functional tests)
  • Lead the requirement management (clarification, analyses, decomposition, etc.) on the Feature.
  • Lead investigations on field return issues in a timely but technically sound manner for proper remedy, as well as for customer satisfaction and preventing further damage.
  • May need to coordinate works for the cross-organization team
  • Interface the customer: align work directions and deliver work products
  • Address issues by coordinating with others. Or raise escalation in timely manner.

Must-Have Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in one of the following, with working knowledge of the other:
    • camera geometry mathematics (Moving Mono-camera, Stereo camera),
    • Computer Vision technologies based on machine learning
  • Working knowledge of statistical data analysis (or of data science)
  • Proficiency in numerical algorithms development (using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, etc.)
  • Understanding of the digital imaging system (optics basics, sensor basics, image processing)
  • Requirement management, system analysis including FMEA. Change-impact analyses.

  • Interfacing the OEM customers and coordinating works involving the internal teams globally.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:

  • Onboard vision systems development.
  • 8D issue solving (Fishbone, FTA)
  •    Software development process

Language Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of English (verbal and written)
  • Japanese: Basic Japanese to interact with Project team as required.
