Jefferies is seeking an Equity Research Associate to support the U.S. Chemicals team. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior analysts to deliver in‑depth company and industry research across the U.S. chemicals sector, including commodity, specialty, and diversified chemical producers. The role requires strong financial modeling capabilities, robust analytical skill, and extensive experience writing and editing both short‑form and long‑form equity research reports.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creation and maintenance of detailed earnings, cash flow, and valuation models across the U.S. chemicals sector (including commodity, specialty, and industrial chemical companies).
- Use of advanced analytical workflows spanning Excel, Python, and AI technologies to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and data-driven insights.
- Extensive writing and editing of equity research publications, including earnings previews and reviews, thematic industry reports, and company-specific analyses.
- Analysis of industry and macro trends such as feedstock dynamics, pricing cycles, capacity additions, end‑market demand drivers, global supply chain developments, and other fundamental drivers.
Key qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years of experience in equity research; Associate level.
- Extensive experience writing and editing short‑form and long‑form equity research reports.
- All requisite licenses required to be a publishing analyst.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
