What you will do
- Performs engineering, general maintenance, and repair activities of hospital.
- Maintains and repairs various machines, equipment and systems to ensure maximum operating efficiency; makes repairs and adjustments as required and in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and operations manuals.
- Performs preventive maintenance and safety inspections of machines/equipment. Inspects, adjusts and repairs miscellaneous hospital equipment including beds, autoclaves, televisions, etc.
- Maintains safety inspections and repair records. Communicates effectively and follows up with engineering and other hospital staff regarding work orders and inspection/repair activities.
- Operates various testing equipment and power tools.
- Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control program.
- High School Graduate or equivalent Required and
- Completion of a skilled crafts or trades program or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience Preferred
- Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Upon Hire Required and
- Must have EPA Universal Certification for handling, recovering, and using refrigerants Upon Hire Required
- Minimum 3 years experience Three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Required
