Education Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university; majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science
Preferred Skill Requirements
- Project Managment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ProE Die Design, Six Sigma
- Knowledge of the basics of Heat Treating and Mechanical Testing
- Analytical Capability
Responsibilities
- Reduction of steel usage, stock size, lead time and scrap
Manufacturing technological improvements
Strategy formulation and implementations of Robotics
Plant velocity improvements
Reduction of paper usage [digitization]
Estimating time improvements
Process elimination/improvements
Research and Development of materials’ and processes
Research and recommendations of industry best practices
Product development
Reduction of energy consumption
Strategy formulation and implementation for plant expansion project
Skills Required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university
- Majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science
- Project management experience or knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in ProE Die Design
- Knowledge of Six Sigma
- Knowledge of heat treating and mechanical testing basics
- Analytical capability
