Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at the Global Crop Harvesting Product Design Center located in East Moline, IL, you will be part of a 8 person team developing embedded software to control combine harvesting vehicles. You will be performing software development, testing, and integration to deliver customer facing features.
- Develop embedded software for vehicle controllers in C and Simulink and create user interface applications in C++ using Qt frameworks
- Perform embedded systems engineering tasking including requirements analysis, concept development, software architecture and design reviews
- Execute unit and integration testing of software in multiple environments (virtual, lab and on-vehicle)
- Analyze issues and drive for resolution of issues found during lab and field testing

- Exposure to software development through education, training, or projects
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong, demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience (or training) in embedded software development projects with one or more of the following: C/C++ programming language, Qt, Matlab/Simulink tool chain.
- Experience with simulation and modeling tools (e.x. MATLAB/Simulink )
- Technical experience relating to design and diagnostics of electro-hydraulic systems
- Experience with CAN communications protocols such as the J1939 and ISO 14229 standards
- Experience with AUTOSAR and/or John Deere Operating Systems
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering
