Advanced Video Engineer I
JOB SCOPE
Responsible for engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's video encoding (Linear and STVA/OTT) systems. In this support role you will interact with Video Product & Video Operations Teams, equipment manufacturers, and Supply Chain to provide video solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate, select, and deploy new test tools and automation frameworks.
- Study future technology developments and formulate associated testing strategies.
- Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders.
- Help implement development standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure projects are accurately estimated and delivered according to schedule.
- Support and implement electronic systems including audio, video and other multimedia equipment.
- Work with the field on the implementation of video network related projects.
- Work with vendors and Engineering to resolve issues and design flaws.
BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and/or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year network engineering experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of video signal acquisition experience
ADDITIONAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Video Compression: MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H264, HEVC, J2K, etc.
- Understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP protocols, Routing and Switching
- Experience with network and element management systems, Arris (DAC) and/or CISCO (DNCS) video delivery systems
- Knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Physical Media (Multimode Fiber, Singlemode Fiber, UTP, etc.), bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet and transport technologies and protocols
- Ability to work with functional teams including Product, Operations, IT, Care, etc.
- Ability to self-manage time and priorities in a fast-paced work environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)

The pay for this position has a minimum of $59,300.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
