The role of the Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) is the foremost technical leader on HVAC and other fluid systems for their site. SMEs serve as mentors to Facilities and Commissioning Engineers in the field and classroom. This role is hands-on within critical environments.
Primary Duties within varied scope of work and expectations will range from:
•Optimizes the reliability and performance of the mechanical systems within data centers •Enhances team ability to operate, maintain, and repair electrical systems
•Oversees the preparation, execution, and quality control of all work on electrical systems
•Develops and maintains operating procedures (SOP/MOP/EOP)
•Leads the root cause analysis (RCA) process for electrical system events, faults, and issues
•Manages the vendor relationships which provide support for electrical systems
•Train facility engineers on electrical system fundamentals during the initial qualification process
•Delivers formal classroom training on electrical systems for the data center operations team
