Experience: 

• 5+ years’ experience working with Apache Lucene (SOLR and/or Elastic Search) and its complimentary components

• 3 years’ experience implementing SOLR builds of indexes, shards, and refined searches across semi-structured data sets to include architectural scaling

• 3 years’ experience with infrastructure including Red Hat, MySQL, clustering, Perl, Java, and shell scripting

• 3 years’ experience in data analytics, algorithms, and large data structures

• 2 years’ experience of design knowledge and resource planning for scaling SOLR/Lucene capabilities

• 2 years’ experience performing application performance tuning, monitoring, and metrics reporting

Required Skills: 

• Apache Lucene (SOLR and/or Elastic Search)

• HTML, XML, Java

• Java Application Servers (Tomcat)

• Red Hat, MySQL, Clustering, Perl, Java and Shell Scripting

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of an automated search and indexing process

• Index data from structured and unstructured data stores, databases, and repositories

• Configure search capabilities on various files types including flat file, compressed files, partial files and sort DB

• Scale and optimize the application for best performance to meet SLAs. Produce monitoring tools and reporting of data indexed through search and query processes

• Perform upgrades to application

• Engineer and execute quality checks of datasets produced with indexed data

Bachelors or Masters and 5+ year(s) related experience
