Job Summary

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. 50% Call Center:
Receives calls from a five-county consortium for applications, renewals, interviews, changes. Provides program/budget explanations, referrals. Engages in conflict resolutions, document processing. Queries and monitors state databases.
40% Determine Eligibility:
Process cases in a time-sensitive manner. Verifies due dates. Monitors Dashboard. Processes documents (applications, renewals, six-month report, changes). Queries and monitors state databases. Uses mainframe, state wage match, Child support database.
8% Policy/Procedures/Training:
Research and reviews policy/procedures for each program.
2% Outside Resources:
Engages outside sources calling in for clients or questions regarding benefits. Assists clients with outside sources for assistance (Forward Health, housing programs, legal services, state agencies).

Minimum Education Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree required.
- One to two years of post-secondary education in related areas such as finance, human services, law, and bilingual is desirable. Upon hire they must attend and complete state sponsored training complying with the requirements of Wis admin code DHS 254.03. Must maintain competencies in all areas of economic support.
