- The Systems Engineer serves as the primary liaison facilitating the flow of requirements between the customer community and the software development team.
- Their primary purpose is to ensure that business unit project stakeholders expectations are met by IT systems deliveries.
- The Systems Engineer performs a variety of complex activities in support of Company business initiatives, especially those that involve multiple business units.
- Activities include leading project stakeholders and team members to analyze complex client problems, define system vision and scope, elicit and gain consensus on functional requirements, and develop and maintain system requirements specifications.
- The Systems Engineer understands and supports the system architecture with the ability and expertise to develop overall solution to support the architectural direction.
- Finally, the Systems Engineer is responsible for mentoring and educating project team members and business partners on requirements analysis and management.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Minimum 5 years professional level experience with progressive responsibilities
3. Experience with all phases of applications life cycle including analysis, design, programming, testing, installation, and maintenance
4. Telecommunications industry experience
5. Experience leading teams
6. Meet deadlines with a high degree of quality in a multi-tasking environment
7. Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners
8. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
9. Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
1. Bachelor’s degree in CIS, MIS, Business Admin or Computer Science
2. Software development experience
3. Enterprise DW design
4. Oracle 10g/11g
