Job DescriptionThe Drupal/PHP Developer helps the organization create and improve web properties by using excellent coding methodologies, adhering to requirements, and working with team members to create outstanding user experiences.
- Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
- Design and develop user interfaces and core web solutions to meet organizational expectations. Help determine requirements and feature sets throughout the development life cycle; help determine design methodologies and tool sets; design and conduct unit tests.
- Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
- Understand and use standard design methodologies, using PHP and Java
- Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; create cross-system integration by leveraging APIs.
- Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
- Update job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Support and develop other web application developers, internal and external users by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.
Qualifications- 3 + Years experience with Drupal & PHP Development (Drupal 6.x & 7.x preferred)
- Demonstrable portfolio of previous projects involving Drupal
- Excellent Verbal & Written Communication skills
- Demonstrable experience with all of the following: Web User Interface Design, development based on adherence to requirements and design documentation; Software Development Fundamentals, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Multimedia Content Development, Debugging, Creating Tests
