Position Outline

Due to our business's continued growth and expansion, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Drafter based in our Port Lavaca, Texas, office.

The Drafter will work with our drafting and design team in Port Lavaca, Texas office.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support multiple disciplines with drafting and design with the ability to work independently.
  • Review Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, field reviews, and perform updates utilizing AutoCad and Microstation software.
  • Provide drafting/design support for assigned projects. 
  • Reviewing vendor documents 


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associates degree in drafting and design. 
  • 6+ hours of AutoCad college level credits.
  • Elevated AutoCad experience with layers, extracting data, and ISA/ANSI P&ID Standards.
  • Experience developing drawings with Auto CAD and Plant 3D software.
  • Minimum of one to three years of related drafting/design experience.
  • Knowledge of 3D scanning software
  • Capable of supporting performing routine fieldwork
  • Team player able to work effectively with other disciplines for successful completion of projects.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills are a must. 
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment. Quick learner.
  • Able to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Take ownership of discipline design and be proactive in problem solving.
  • Safety and detail focused.
  • Experience in the petroleum and/or chemical processing industry in a plant environment.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
