Director of Marketing
Soko Glam · Brooklyn, NY · Full-time · Hybrid (4 days in office)
Compensation: $150,000 - $165,000 base + performance bonus
About Soko Glam
Soko Glam helped bring Korean beauty to the U.S. Since 2012, skincare lovers have come to us to discover the best of K-beauty and learn how to use it. We’re a small, founder-led team in Brooklyn. Your ideas move fast here, and you’ll see their impact on the business right away.
The role
We’re hiring a Director of Marketing to lead all of marketing at Soko Glam. You’ll set the strategy and lead the team, including our campaign marketing lead, who runs campaigns, social, and creative. You’ll also be the hands-on expert in the channels that drive our growth: email and SMS, retention, our creator program, and paid media.
You’ll be measured on results, not activity, and paid for them. Your performance bonus is uncapped and tied directly to Soko Glam’s DTC profit
What you’ll own
- Strategy & team. Shape the marketing plan and calendar, and lead the team that brings it to life. You’ll work hand in hand with our campaign marketing lead on campaigns, social, and creative.
- Email and SMS. This is how we talk to our community every day. Own the strategy and results, grow the channel’s share of revenue, and lead our in-house email specialist.
- Retention. Turn first-time shoppers into lifelong skincare fans. Build the welcome, post-purchase, replenishment, and win-back journeys that keep customers coming back.
- Creators. Grow our community of creators who love K-beauty as much as we do. Recruit them, get them selling, and make sure the program pays off for them and for us.
- Paid media. Decide where we show up across Meta, Google, and TikTok, and how much we spend there. Direct our paid media contractor, and make sure every dollar earns its place.
- New customers. Introduce more people to Soko Glam, and do it profitably.
- Results. Share a clear weekly read on what’s working, what isn’t, and where we should invest next.
- Partners. Hire and manage specialists in influencer relations, paid media, and design. Partner with our founders, merchandising team, and brands on launches and campaigns.
What success looks like in your first 90 days
- Email and SMS revenue is meaningfully up compared with the 90 days before you joined and the same period last year.
- Our creator community is growing, with more creators actively sharing and selling Soko Glam.
- You have a clear, prioritized growth plan for the year ahead, with targets by channel.
