LT Consulting is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with an active TS/SCI with polygraph to to design, build, and automate secure cloud-based infrastructure and workflows for application development teams. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, and security teams to automate manual tasks, improve delivery pipelines, and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions that enhance system reliability, scalability, & security.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud & DevOps Architecture: Architect and deploy complex microservices and cloud-native solutions across AWS and OCI. Support hybrid-cloud integration, automation, deployment, scalability, and production operations.
- Kubernetes & Containerization: Design, scale, and maintain Docker-based applications and Kubernetes clusters in enterprise production environments.
- CI/CD & Deployment: Support automated build, test, deployment, and release processes and improve operational efficiency through automation.
- Full-Stack Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java/Spring Boot backend services and React.js frontend architectures, including reusable components and application state management using Redux or similar technologies.
- API & Integration: Design and support RESTful APIs, WebSockets, data streaming, microservices, and hybrid-cloud integration strategies.
- Database & Storage: Support relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, with emphasis on performance, scalability, high availability, and cloud-native storage.
- Development & Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews; implement unit and integration testing; and apply established engineering standards and best practices.
- Agile Delivery: Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, developers, QA, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders.
- Deployment & Operations: Deploy and support applications across cloud and containerized environments, monitor application and infrastructure performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide hands-on production support.
- Technical Leadership: Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences and provide SME-level guidance and mentorship to the team.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of progressive relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, software development, or related technical roles.
- Demonstrated SME-level experience supporting enterprise cloud-native and production environments.
- Strong experience with AWS and/or OCI and familiarity with deployment across other major cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience with React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including responsive UI development, reusable components, state management, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
- Experience with microservices, data streaming, and hybrid-cloud integration.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Advanced Kubernetes production environment experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and application performance management.
- Experience with DevSecOps and automated security practices.
- Experience supporting multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
Skills Required
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Demonstrated professional experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
- Proficiency with AWS services and IaC tools
- Experience managing containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash
- Experience with CI/CD tooling like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Experience with monitoring tools and observability platforms
- Experience working in Agile environments using JIRA and Confluence
