Dark Wolf is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support the development and sustainment of a cloud-based data environment utilizing enterprise data science tools to empower data scientists. The successful candidate will coordinate directly with the customer to ensure the continuous uptime of an analytics data platform, driving its migration from legacy on-premise environments to AWS GovCloud. Key responsibilities include ensuring the environment stays updated with the latest versions to maintain security accreditation, as well as executing rigorous patch management, data backup and recovery, and incident response. The team provides support to enhance and develop new data applications, modernizing capabilities through an agile process. This position will call for hybrid support in Tampa, FL.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical area; or in lieu of a degree, 3 years of equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field
- Experience architecting and deploying enterprise-grade AWS cloud infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code, with a strong focus on version management, automated patch management, disaster recovery, and high availability
- Previous experience developing software in an Agile environment, including applied experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and PI planning
- Experience deploying and managing Posit data science tools (e.g., Posit Workbench, Posit Connect) within AWS cloud environments to support advanced analytics, AI/ML systems, and data-driven applications.
- Extensive knowledge of DevOps practices to include microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, cloud architecture, Platform as a Service (Kubernetes or PCF), and infrastructure as code
- Ability to convey complex ideas through conversation, briefings, and writing with clear, concise language
- DOD 8570 LVL II Certification (CompTIA Security+)
- US Citizenship and Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with managing multiple Neo4j databases across cloud environments to support complex data modeling and enterprise analytics
- Knowledge of ICD 503 and RMF with previous experience getting Authorization to Operate (ATO) for an application or system
- Certification in cloud architecture with AWS, GCP, or Azure
This position is located in Tampa, FL. The estimated compensation range for this role is $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 commensurate on experience and technical skill set.
