Description

About the Role

Join us and take ownership of the systems behind our online gaming platforms.

This hands-on DevOps and SRE role allows you to drive meaningful reliability and automation improvements across a complex production environment, working with established applications, modern container platforms, and hybrid infrastructure.

You’ll own application operations, delivery, and reliability across production and QA environments spanning Windows and Linux servers, IIS applications, Kubernetes workloads, AWS, and on-premises infrastructure. Working closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams, you’ll investigate failures across service dependencies, improve deployment and configuration workflows, and turn recurring operational tasks into dependable automation.

You’ll also help shape practical AI adoption in operations. Use AI tools to accelerate investigation, scripting, and knowledge sharing, and build internal automation through agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, and reusable skills—all with human oversight, validation, and a clear rollback path for production changes.

What you'll be doing

  • Own application operations across production and QA, including deployments, configuration, service health, incident investigation, and recovery.
  • Troubleshoot distributed systems end-to-end, tracing requests across APIs, Windows services, IIS, Kubernetes, message queues, caches, and databases.
  • Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and release workflows, with reliable validation, environment configuration, and rollback procedures.
  • Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash, and Ansible to reduce manual work and configuration drift.
  • Operate Windows Server, IIS, and Windows services alongside Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes workloads in hybrid environments.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis through application logs, metrics, and distributed tracing, including New Relic.
  • Deliver controlled production changes and investigate recurring incidents to prevent repeat failures.
  • Apply AI-assisted workflows to practical operational problems and build internal tools with appropriate access controls and review.
  • Document service dependencies and runbooks, share knowledge, and lead improvements from investigation through implementation.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, application infrastructure, or production engineering, with hands-on ownership of live systems.
  • Strong practical experience with Windows Server, IIS, and Windows services, plus the ability to administer and troubleshoot Linux independently.
  • Proven ability to diagnose production incidents across application, infrastructure, network, and deployment layers using logs and monitoring evidence.
  • Strong PowerShell skills and working proficiency in Python or Bash, with experience building maintainable operational automation.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, using Git, and managing configuration across environments.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting Docker containers and Kubernetes workloads.
  • A solid understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS certificates, and load balancing.
  • An understanding of how message queues, caches, and relational or document databases affect application reliability and connectivity.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, with the ability to validate their output, protect sensitive information, and apply sound engineering judgment.
  • Strong ownership, clear communication, and the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively during incidents and technical changes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and releases, Ansible, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
  • AWS production experience and familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience with Kubernetes networking, deployment strategies, and workload performance troubleshooting.
  • Operational experience with IBM MQ, Redis, SQL Server, or MongoDB, including connection and dependency troubleshooting.
  • Experience with New Relic or comparable APM and observability platforms, and familiarity with NGINX or F5.
  • Experience building AI agents, MCP integrations, reusable skills, internal knowledge tools, or self-service operational automation.
