Job Duties and Responsibilities
This role falls in the Product Marketing Operations team, which is responsible for growing a sophisticated, best-in-class digital marketplace for all retail wireless brands. This business unit will be a growth engine for our organization's larger retail wireless ambitions; we have high expectations for this group.
As a Visual Designer, you will primarily be responsible for creating and updating the creative assets for what will be best in class eCommerce websites for our wireless brands. This position requires a high degree of ownership, communication, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
This person must be self-motivated, curious, independent, detail-oriented and driven to carry out the following primary responsibilities:
- Translate high-fidelity designs into designs that are executable on the web, working with partners to create mockups, web flows, and elements ready for publication
- Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness and conversion/excellence to complex user experiences
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and/or sitemaps to communicate interaction and design ideas
- Work with the marketing Brand team to establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
- Test and optimization of the design of the website
- Maintain a level of excellence of websites by enforcing content standards
- Design visual imagery for websites in line with each brand's identity and voice.
- Work with different content management systems
- Partner with IT and the Brand team on the creation and implementation of design systems for the web
- Prepare design plans and present the website structure
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- BA/BS in Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of related experience and training
- 3-5+ years of related experience
- Strong organization, project management, problem solving, and communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences;
- Very adaptable, and able to handle multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, result-driven, time-critical environment;
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work well in a collaborative environment, both external (design/UX agencies, ASO experts, etc.) and internal (IT, product marketing/ecommerce business teams, etc.)
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, inVision, and other visual design tools
- Familiarity with designing for production in digital content management systems, preferably Adobe Experience Manager
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
- Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies
- Past wireless and/or digital marketing/eCommerce experience a plus
Salary Range
Compensation: $65,800.00/Year - $94,000.00/Year
