On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Datapath Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Santa Clara, California.
Datapath Software Engineer Job Details
The following skills will be utilized: Fluent with C/C++ programming and networking,
Networking: IP protocols (TCP, UDP), understanding of networks and packet routing,
and fully capable to work with Linux OS including installing and configuring different flavors, packages and drivers installation and configuration and other Linux administration
Datapath Software Engineer Mandatory Skills
BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field
Fluent with C/C++ programming and networking
Networking: IP protocols (TCP, UDP), understanding of networks and packet routing
Fully capable to work with Linux OS including installing and configuring different flavors, packages and drivers installation and configuration and other Linux administration
Optional (plus) in descending order of priorities:
Programing experience for Virtual Data Center environments: VMWare/NSX, OpenStack
Knowledge and understanding (contributor) of Open Stack networking (Neutron) plugins development
Knowledge of Intel DPDK or any other Data packets I/O SDKs
Experience/Knowledge in Python programming language is a plus
Experience/Knowledge with Network Security is a Plus
Familiarity with IDS/IPS and/or Firewall software is a plus
