Overview

  • Hiring best-in-class sales talent is critical to Verkada’s success - so we are creating a data-driven process to identify the best candidates. In this role, you will be a founding member of the team building an analytical hiring platform within Verkada’s sales organization. In this role, you will own the candidate data intake and integrity workflow while driving operational and process improvement initiatives.
  • As a member of our Sales Strategy and Operations team, you will have an integral role in driving the insights and operations that enable Sales to run better, faster, and smarter. Sales Strategy and Operations is an excellent platform to learn how a business really runs. Prior candidates that our leadership team has worked with have gone on to be VPs and COOs of companies.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data collection process end-to-end. Conduct regular intake interviews with candidates to understand their background and performance in prior roles while collecting accurate and standardized data.
  • Design data-driven hiring processes. Partner with Verkada’s recruiting team to configure, test, and implement new workflows that integrate candidate data into our hiring process, from initial phone screen to final hiring decision.
  • Collect and analyze candidate data. Run ad-hoc reporting and analyses to understand trends in candidate data. Prepare summary presentations for Sales Operations and Recruiting leadership.
  • Support ongoing data cleanliness. Manage internal library of candidate data and run point on all data integrity efforts including data audits, recategorizations, and backfills.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, often-changing environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. You work well on teams and are comfortable speaking with candidates of all backgrounds.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to tackle large volumes of confidential data with discretion.
  • Experience building out future-proof processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills with experience using formulas (lookups, index match, countifs, sumifs, etc.) Google Sheets experience is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in a quantitative role such as accounting, tax, or audit. Bachelors in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative fields preferred.
