As a Branded Credit Card Data Product Owner, Vice President at JPMorganChase within Consumer & Community Banking, you will shape and deliver business-ready data products and features that improve decision-making, accelerate product development, and enhance the Chase customer experience. You will translate complex business needs into an actionable product roadmap, modernize data delivery through cloud-native capabilities, and connect data improvements to measurable business outcomes. You will partner closely across Product, Design, Technology, Data, Analytics, Engineering, and risk and control teams to ensure solutions meet company standards for quality, safety, and compliance.

Job responsibilities

  • Own the data product vision and roadmap for branded credit card datasets supporting strategic objectives, operations, reporting, and advanced analytics
  • Define, document, and prioritize use cases so delivered data is fit-for-purpose and aligned to business workflows and outcomes
  • Enhance curated datasets where there is clear business justification (for example, redefining metrics, adding calculated fields, and creating derived attributes) to improve usability and adoption
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories, and communicate value to both technical and executive audiences
  • Drive modernization efforts, including migration from legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures and improved data delivery patterns
  • Establish and govern data scope and documentation, including definitions, metadata, classification, and lineage
  • Set data quality expectations (accuracy, completeness, timeliness), coordinate remediation, and influence partners to resolve issues quickly
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks across protection, retention and destruction, storage, usage, and quality throughout the product lifecycle
  • Manage delivery execution across milestones, dependencies, bottlenecks, and key performance indicators to support successful releases

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 8+ years of experience delivering products, projects, or technology applications in data, analytics, or technology environments
  • End-to-end product ownership experience across discovery, planning, requirements definition, delivery execution, and value realization
  • Strong technical and data fluency, including data engineering concepts (pipelines, data modeling, and architecture) and the ability to translate needs into clear specifications and user stories
  • Experience working with modern data platforms and cloud ecosystems (for example, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Snowflake, and Databricks, or comparable technologies)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption and organizational change by influencing cross-functional partners and improving ways of working
  • Experience operating in Agile teams, including planning, refinement, and delivery cadence
  • Strong executive-ready communication skills, structured problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across stakeholders

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Advanced querying and analytics skills, including advanced SQL and one or more of Python or R
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and analytics tools (for example, Spark, Hadoop, or Alteryx) and data management practices (metadata, definitions, and data quality)
  • Experience in credit cards or adjacent consumer lending domains
  • Demonstrated leadership presence and the ability to serve as a subject matter resource across stakeholders

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. The CCB Data & Analytics team responsibly leverages data across Chase to build competitive advantages for the businesses while providing value and protection for customers. The team encompasses a variety of disciplines from data governance and strategy to reporting, data science and machine learning. We have a strong partnership with Technology, which provides cutting edge data and analytics infrastructure. The team powers Chase with insights to create the best customer and business outcomes.
