Data Engineering & Analytics Associate

Metyis is growing! We are looking for a Data Engineering & Analytics Associate with +3 years of experience to join our international Data and Analytics team, based in Barcelona.

• Interact with senior stakeholders at our clients on regular basis to drive their business towards impactful change

• Become the go-to person for end-to-end data handling, management, and analytics processes

• Working with Data Scientists to take data throughout its lifecycle - acquisition, exploration, data cleaning, integration, analysis, interpretation and visualization

• Become part of a fast-growing international and diverse team

• Translate business problems into structured analytical approaches and data solutions

• Analyse structured and unstructured data to identify insights and opportunities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, datasets, and scalable data-processing solutions

• Develop automation and analytical solutions using SQL, Python, Scala, or similar tools

• Perform data-quality checks, validation, and performance optimisation

• Support reporting, advanced analytics, and machine learning use cases

• Collaborate with data science, engineering, reporting, product, and business teams

• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Manage deliverables across multiple projects and clients

3–6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, data science, or a hybrid data role

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field

Strong SQL skills and good programming knowledge in Python, Scala, or another scripting language

Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, databases, data warehouses, and data modelling

Ability to analyse data and translate findings into business recommendations

Working knowledge of statistics and machine learning

Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP

Familiarity with Git and CI/CD is desirable

Strong problem-solving, business understanding, and stakeholder-management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
