Sandbox Interactive is the ambitious game development studio behind the award-winning game Albion Online. Your Game

As a Data Engineer, you'll build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers game analytics, live operations, reporting, and business intelligence across Sandbox Interactive. Combining software engineering with data analytics, you'll enable teams to make data-driven decisions by delivering reliable pipelines, scalable data models, and meaningful visualizations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that enable data-driven decision making

  • Build and optimize data models, ETL processes, and SQL queries

  • Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and reliability

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions

  • Monitor and improve our data platform, logging infrastructure, and reporting systems

  • Support analytics initiatives by providing reliable, accessible, and actionable data

Your TalentMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a comparable technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience designing and optimizing complex queries

  • Professional experience with Python, C#, or another modern programming language

  • Experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows

  • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases

  • Experience working with BI and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Google Data Studio, or similar)

  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and software engineering best practices

  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal and written) in English

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the games industry or another data-driven digital product environment

  • Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK Stack) or similar observability tools

  • Experience with Apache Cassandra or other distributed databases

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering ecosystems

  • Experience building reporting solutions for live operations or product analytics

Skills Required
