We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Engineer Intern to support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data infrastructure. This internship provides hands-on experience working with large datasets, data workflows, and modern data engineering tools in a real-world environment.
This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in data engineering, backend systems, and data platform development.
Internship DetailsDuration: 3 months, with potential extension based on performance
Work Mode: Remote
Stipend: Unpaid initially; performance-based evaluation in the first quarter may lead to a paid internship extension or full-time opportunity
Working Hours: 8 hours per day
Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
Support data ingestion from multiple sources (APIs, databases, files)
Help design and optimize data models and schemas
Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality checks
Work with structured and semi-structured data
Support data warehousing and analytics use cases
Document data processes, pipelines, and workflows
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Proficiency in Python or SQL
Basic understanding of databases
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with ETL tools or frameworks
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Understanding of data warehouses
Knowledge of version control (Git)
Basic understanding of data security and governance
Hands-on experience building real-world data pipelines
Exposure to modern data engineering tools and cloud platforms
Experience working with cross-functional data teams
Mentorship from experienced data engineers
Certificate of Internship Completion upon successful completion
