Build a modern data platform from the ground up, and spend a few weeks of the year doing it from Barcelona.
A Swiss tech and consulting company is building a completely new data warehouse for a large insurance company, with Databricks as the core technology. You will join the team right at the start of the project and grow into the role step by step: the first months are all about learning, with an experienced senior engineer coaching and mentoring you along the way. The goal is a permanent position after the first six months.
- Help build a new data warehouse on Databricks from scratch
- Develop data pipelines that ingest data from various sources (e.g. APIs and other systems) into the warehouse
- Prepare, transform and model data using Spark, PySpark and SQL
- Work with Lakeflow and data streaming
- Depending on your interests, contribute to platform engineering, data modeling, analytics or AI use cases
- Work closely with experienced engineers and learn hands-on in a real enterprise project
