We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with 5+ years of experience to join our client's team. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing business requirements, performing data mapping, creating SQL-based solutions, and supporting data validation and testing activities.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and testing teams to ensure accurate data integration, reporting, and quality control across banking-related projects.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to data sourcing and reporting.
- Lead data mapping activities and define source-to-target data transformation rules.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Define inclusion/exclusion criteria, joins, and data loading requirements.
- Prepare requirement and mapping documentation and obtain business sign-off.
- Support development teams by translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Define and establish data quality controls and validation processes.
- Assist QA and testing teams in preparing test scenarios and validating test results.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT/UVT) activities and act as the primary point of contact during validation.
- Coordinate with business users, developers, and testers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of data-related solutions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
- Strong experience in Data Mapping and Requirement Analysis.
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
- Strong data comparison, reconciliation, and validation experience.
- Experience defining and implementing Data Quality controls.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT/UVT) and data verification.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and project delivery.
- Understanding of Commercial & Institutional Banking (CIB).
- Knowledge of Credit Risk, Credit Portfolio, and Credit Data Management.
- Understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Store concepts.
- Experience in Banking Data Analytics and Reporting environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Comfortable acting as a single point of contact between business and technology teams.
