Job Description

This role will support  MET Group´s corporate strategy, evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities, as well as shape and manage various business development initiatives.

Essential responsibilities

  • Provide a clear view on renewables and conventional energy market trends based on economic, regulatory, technology and supply chain information to enable informed strategy and business decisions
  • Lead and facilitate multiple large strategic initiatives in cooperation with the executives of the Renewable and Asset Segment
  • Pro-actively propose and design identified operational excellence and strategic initiatives, build project teams, and support shaping MET Groups strategic agenda 
  • Evaluate the strategic consistency of the Renewable and Asset Segment's business, as well as due diligence organic and inorganic M&A/ project opportunities
  • Monitor competitor developments and benchmarks, as well as market developments across all business areas to assess their long-term impact
  • Originate and evaluate business/ investment opportunities in innovative, low-carbon fuel sources and technologies
  • Project manage pan-European and global business development/ building initiatives

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in finance, law or business administration from a tier1 university (CFA and/or MBA a plus)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in developing energy assets, investment banking, private equity/debt, and/or M&A
  • In-depth expertise in the European energy market
  • Ability to summarize complex topics and extract decision options
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated, solid work ethic, and ability to work in a close-knit team
  • Creative and open-minded with an ability to link theoretical scenarios into concrete action plans/practice
  • Fluent English, other European languages a plus
