Corporate Intern

***Candidates must be located within a daily commutable distance to Boca Raton, Florida for this role***

Position Summary:

The FPI Corporate Internship Program provides qualified students an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand business experience with a homeowners insurance carrier. This internship will expose participants to a variety of aspects of the business to understand the day to day work our team members perform, the knowledge necessary to be successful, and learn about opportunities both in the company and the industry as a whole. Our goal is to provide a learning experience, not just a short term job. 

The program will be 10 weeks in duration.

Essential Functions:

• Perform duties as assigned within the internship program
• Perform duties in accordance with work instructions in a courteous and professional manner
• Be available to support leadership within the assigned department
• Follow rotation instructions for exposure to 4 to 6 different departments within the organization
• Work with peers to develop and present an overview of learnings

Required Education and Experience:

• Full time student working towards a bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, actuarial studies, or a similarly related program
• 3.0 minimum GPA

Essential Skills:

• Proficient with MS Office programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid public speaking and presentation skills
