Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of high-speed servo packaging machinery to modify the electrical design, PLC programming, HMI programming, start-up and troubleshooting of the automation control systems.
- Review customer specifications.
- Modify existing electrical schematics and parts lists to meet requirements and specifications.
- Provide engineering support during installation of system or retrofit.
- Assist in verification and validation of the system.
- Ensure project is completed on schedule and meets customer requirements.
- Responsible for technical support for Sales (customers), Purchasing (vendors), Assembly, and Service.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communications skills
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to travel 25% of the time (domestic and foreign)
Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and three years of industry experience, which include:
- 3 years of electrical engineering experience in the packaging industry
- 3 years of experience with electric control circuits, servo systems
- 2 years of experience with engineering project management
- Programming experience with B&R (C, Automation Basic, and structured text), Allen Bradley ControlLogix, and/or Zenon
Alternatively 5 to 10 years of experience in the categories listed above.
