Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, analytical Controller to lead finance activities for our Israel operations. This individual will own the Israel financial results, provide meaningful business insights to management, ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements, and support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial analysis.
The ideal candidate combines strong accounting expertise with analytical capabilities, business partnering experience, and a hands-on approach to managing financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Israel Financial Ownership
- Own the Israel entity's financial results, including P&L, balance sheet, and operating expenses.
- Ensure accurate, complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Review and analyze financial performance, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Serve as the primary finance partner for Israel leadership and functional managers.
- Drive accountability for financial results across the organization.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes.
- Provide insightful analysis of actual-versus-budget and forecast performance.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key business metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
- Partner with business leaders to improve operational and financial performance.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Own and coordinate local tax reporting requirements, including corporate tax filings, VAT reporting, and other statutory submissions.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Support year-end audits and statutory financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with Israeli financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Controls & Process Improvement
- Maintain a strong internal control environment.
- Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Support finance transformation and reporting enhancement initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear objectives and support team members' professional development.
- CPA certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- Strong understanding of Israeli tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Experience working in multinational organizations.
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems is an advantage, especially Oracle EBS.
