Your Impact
As the Contracts Specialist - Operations based in our Singapore HQ, you will report to the Senior Contracts Manager - Operations and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Oversee and manage outsourced services and contracts within Property Operations covering Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong regions.
- You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth contract administration and contribute to the operational excellence of our data centres.
What You'll Do
- Assist in developing, reviewing and managing contractual documentation.
- Participate in tender preparation including the review of scope of works, tender evaluations, and recommendations.
- Support negotiations and contract administration processes including for variation and dispute resolution.
- Support claims management i.e. review claims including payment claims, invoices, variations, time-related claims and the like.
- Support the respective Data Centre Operations teams in all aspects of commercial and contract matters across the entire lifecycle of AirTrunk data centres in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong regions.
- Support and coordinate vendor performance reviews, and other vendor management processes such as tracking of performance metrics and compliance.
- Cost management and cost reporting across all active contracts and services.
- Assist with developing and streamlining contract management processes and tools to improve contract management effectiveness.
- Assist with process implementation, initiatives and continuous improvements aimed at increasing time and cost efficiencies of our data centre operations.
- Concurrently, manage multiple projects including preparation of support for new data centre capacity and capital improvement projects associated with our existing data centres.
- Local and regional travel to data centre sites may be required at times
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Contracts Management, Facilities Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering or relevant equivalent discipline.
- Minimally 5 years of strong contract management experience in property or infrastructure development field - particularly in commercial aspects, including contract preparation, negotiation, administration and dispute resolution.
- Good communication skills with strong stakeholder management covering both internal and external parties (vendors).
- Experience in real estate facilities or property management contracts preferred.
- Previous Data Centre experience desirable but not essential.
Skills Required
- Tertiary degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business, or relevant discipline or equivalent commercial experience
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in contracts, commercial management, procurement, or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, contract law, and commercial risk management
- Experience managing multiple vendors and service providers including contract preparation, negotiation, administration, performance management and dispute resolution
- Experience supporting tender processes, scope of works review, tender evaluations and commercial assessments
- Ability to manage payment claims, variations, invoices, time-related claims and contractual compliance
- Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement and contract drafting skills
- Leadership and problem-solving capabilities with ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams and contractors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to online collaboration platforms
- Experience in data centre, facilities management, critical infrastructure, or property operations sectors
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional contracts and regional operations across Malaysia, APAC, or international markets
- Experience supporting operational environments focused on service delivery, vendor performance, and continuous improvement
