Magazine Writer (Remote, Contractor)
The Art of Education University is seeking exceptional educators to write for its online magazine, which receives hundreds of thousands of views per month. Writers submit a predetermined number of articles with corresponding photos and video clips. Writers must be in the K-12 art room, have strong writing and communication skills, enthusiasm and knowledge of trends and best practices in art education, and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
POSITION DETAILSStructured as a remote part-time, project-based, contractor position. This position will report to the Media Content Manager.
This position is eligible to remote work from the following locations: USA.

The Details ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Submit a predetermined number of articles with corresponding photos and video clips each month.
- Communicate with the Media Content Manager and Writing Team weekly to determine article topics, receive training, and collaborate on articles.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Open to suggestions and feedback.
- Passion and knowledge about up-to-date trends and best practices in art education.
- Organized and responsible with deadlines.
- Comfortable and proficient with technology.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time. The Art of Education University is an online university; therefore, 95-98% of one’s time will be on or using technology.
- Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.
- Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.

CompensationWriters earn a base stipend of $150 for each article with corresponding photos and video clips.
