Role Description:

About the Role
We’re looking for a Content Storyteller who can turn raw footage, ideas, and everyday moments into compelling stories.
This is not just a video editing role. We’re looking for someone who understands why a story works — someone who can take a collection of clips and shape them into content that has a clear narrative, emotion, pacing, and purpose.
You should be able to look beyond “cutting clips together” and think: What is the story we’re trying to tell? What should the audience feel? What should they remember?

What You'll Do:
1) Build the Brand's Narrative:
  • Understand the brand’s personality, audience, products and ambitions.
  • Define what the brand stands for and what it should be known for.
  • Identify stories, themes, characters, situations and cultural conversations the brand can own.
  • Build an evolving storytelling universe around the brand.
  • Think beyond individual posts and develop a long-term social narrative.

2) Think Video:
  • Develop concepts specifically for short-form social video.
  • Create ideas for Reels, short films, series, recurring formats, product stories, founder stories, BTS and culture-led content.
  • Think through the hook, story, visual treatment, pacing and payoff of every video.
  • Turn simple products, situations and observations into engaging stories.
  • Understand what makes people stop scrolling and keep watching.
  • Create content that feels native to Instagram rather than traditional advertising.

3) Create Recurring Content Formats:
  • Develop recurring video series and repeatable content formats.
  • Create characters, situations and storytelling devices that can evolve over time.
  • Build content pillars with a distinct personality.
  • Develop formats that can grow over months rather than disappear after one post.
  • Help establish a recognisable content language for the brand’s social presence.

4) Translate Ideas Into Shootable Content:
  • Visualise the complete video before it is produced.
  • Clearly define: What happens? Who is involved? What is the opening shot? What is the hook? What is the mood? What does the camera see? What is the dialogue/VO? How does the story progress? What is the payoff? Why would someone share or remember it?
  • Work closely with videographers, editors, creators and production partners to bring concepts to life.

5) Develop Brand's Social Personality
  • Shape how the brand behaves and communicates on social media.
  • Develop a distinctive tone, attitude and personality through video.
  • Stay updated on internet culture, trends, humour and emerging formats.
  • Identify when to participate in a trend and when to create something original.
  • Ensure trend-led content still feels unmistakably like the brand.

6) Be the Brand’s Story Filter
  • Evaluate whether an idea is a story the brand should tell.
  • Review concepts based on their contribution to the overall brand narrative, not just potential views.
  • Ensure individual pieces of content strengthen the larger brand story.
  • Build a social presence that feels consistent, recognisable and culturally relevant.
  • Focus on creating content that builds long-term brand equity, not just short-term engagement.

What We're Looking for:
  • 5–7 years of experience in video editing, content creation, filmmaking, or storytelling.
  • Strong command of editing tools such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of storytelling and narrative structure.
  • Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, music, visual composition, and emotional beats.
  • Ability to turn unstructured footage into a coherent and engaging story.
  • Strong creative instinct — you should be able to explain why an edit works, not just how to make it.
  • Understanding of short-form content and what makes audiences stop, watch, engage, and remember.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and contribute ideas proactively.

You might be a great fit if you:
  • Watch a video and immediately notice why the pacing feels off.
  • Can take 20 minutes of random footage and find a 60-second story hidden inside it.
  • Think about the audience's emotional journey, not just the timeline.
  • Know when a dramatic pause is more powerful than another transition.
  • Understand that sometimes the best edit is the clip you choose not to use.
  • Have opinions about music, hooks, sequencing, and storytelling — and can back those opinions with reasoning.
  • Are equally comfortable creating a story and editing it.
