We'll trust you to:
- Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake-based Data Management solutions based on client requirements.
- Translate business and data requirements into data models, technical designs, transformation logic and implementation plans.
- Own technical workstreams end-to-end, from requirements and design through development, testing and deployment.
- Lead delivery across data ingestion, transformation, data warehousing, consumption and reporting.
- Apply strong hands-on knowledge of Snowflake, including Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, virtual warehouses, clustering, micro-partitioning, Time Travel and data sharing.
- Develop and review complex SQL and Python-based data solutions.
- Make sound technical decisions around performance, scalability, data quality, maintainability and cost.
- Enable and guide L1/L2 team members through clear designs, technical direction, code/design reviews and problem resolution.
- Lead technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders and clearly communicate recommendations, trade-offs and solution choices.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex data and production issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Drive appropriate testing, documentation, deployment and operational readiness for solutions.
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, risk management and delivery.
- Develop reusable technical approaches and contribute to Data Management capabilities and best practices across projects.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development and recruiting.
- Work effectively with US-based clients and global teams.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data management or consulting.
- 4+ years of strong hands-on Snowflake experience.
- Strong SQL and hands-on Python skills.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, dimensional modelling and ETL/ELT.
- Proven experience designing, building and optimizing Snowflake solutions at scale.
- Strong understanding of query optimization, workload management, clustering and micro-partitioning.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Informatica, Talend, Matillion or Fivetran.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster or equivalent.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and structured thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to independently lead a technical workstream and remain hands-on when required.
- Willingness to support US-based clients with US working-hour overlap. Preferred Qualifications
- Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical / Healthcare data experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with MDM, Data Quality, Data Governance or reporting/semantic layers.
- Experience with commercial data such as customer, product, sales, claims or activity data.
- Prior consulting or client-facing experience.
- Snowflake certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
- Exposure to Databricks/PySpark is a plus.
