Job Summary
The Compliance Specialist - Procurement plays a critical role in supporting procurement governance, compliance, business intelligence, and continuous improvement initiatives across the global organization. This position is responsible for managing key compliance programs, maintaining procurement controls and reporting solutions, and providing actionable insights that enable informed business decisions and operational excellence.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities
- Manage procurement compliance programs, including Supplier Sustainability, Conflict Minerals, Supplier Diversity, Contract Management, and related initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate procurement policies, procedures, and contracting standards to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Establish and monitor procurement process controls to support governance, risk management, and audit requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve, automate, and standardize procurement processes.
- Maintain Power BI dashboards, SharePoint solutions, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that support procurement objectives.
- Promote adoption of procurement tools and technologies through training and process documentation.
- Prepare and present KPI reporting, analytics, and performance insights to procurement leadership.
Key Objectives
- Lead periodic reviews and continuous improvement of the Global Procurement Procedures Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions.
- Maintain governance of the Oracle financial approval hierarchy for requisitioning and purchasing processes.
- Manage Customer Diversity reporting programs and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Lead Procurement compliance testing activities, including the Arconic Self-Assessment Tool (ASAT), to evaluate control effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on procurement controls, assessments, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and track corrective action plans to address compliance gaps identified through testing, audits, and assessments.
- Support internal and external audit activities by coordinating documentation, responding to inquiries, and facilitating audit readiness.
- Coordinate Procurement Terms and Conditions reviews with Legal and ensure timely publication of approved updates.
- Manage Supplier Sustainability and Conflict Minerals reporting processes, customer inquiries, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct periodic reviews of procurement system access to ensure appropriate controls and segregation of duties.
- Develop and deliver procurement-related training and maintain supporting documentation.
- Provide reporting and analytics that support procurement goals related to cost savings, innovation, quality, supplier performance, and operational excellence.
- Cross-training with Procurement Analysts to provide organizational coverage and support.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, compliance, or a related business function.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting procurement compliance, governance, internal controls, or audit programs.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Power BI, including dashboard development and data visualization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights.
Experience working with ERP systems and procurement technologies.
Demonstrated project management and process improvement experience.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective relationships across functions and organizational levels.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
