About Hit Snooze

Hit Snooze is an independent record label focused on ambient, sleep, and wellness music. We started the label because we believe rest is productive and essential to a balanced life lived to the fullest.

We work with artists creating intentional, emotionally resonant music, and build everything we do around a simple audience: people who are burnt out but still showing up.

We're still a small team, which means everyone has a meaningful impact on the direction of the company. We're looking for someone who wants to grow alongside us.

The Role

We're hiring a part-time Community Manager to own our brand voice and day-to-day presence across social, email, and community. You'll be the person keeping Hit Snooze consistent, timely, and true to itself in public, and helping our releases land. It's a hands-on role on a small team, so you'll touch marketing, partnerships, and release coordination as they connect to community. Over time, and as the label grows, this role is built to expand into a full-time Label Coordinator seat (more on that below).

What You'll Own

Community & Content

  • Maintain and execute the social media calendar
  • Write and schedule posts in the Hit Snooze voice
  • Coordinate release-day content across platforms
  • Respond to comments and direct messages
  • Engage thoughtfully with artists, partners, and aligned communities
  • Spot trends worth adapting while protecting the integrity of our brand

Release & Marketing Support

  • Prepare and send marketing materials to artists, our distributor, and key partners
  • Send single/EP request docs to artists ahead of release
  • Help keep release timelines organized and on schedule
  • Flag missing assets or bottlenecks before they become problems

Partnerships & Outreach

  • Research illustrators and visual artists for content collaborations
  • Track partnership and outreach opportunities in our pipeline docs
  • Keep tracking current and follow up so nothing goes cold

Reporting

  • Track social, email, and audience performance
  • Report on what's working and what's falling flat on a regular cadence
  • Help set and monitor growth goals

Where This Grows

We're hiring this role early on purpose. As Hit Snooze expands, we expect it to grow into a full-time Label Coordinator working directly alongside our three founding partners across marketing, operations, and artist development, with exposure to A&R and label leadership along the way.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years supporting an artist, brand, label, agency, startup, or creative business
  • Experience writing social captions and short-form copy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and prioritizing independently
  • Genuinely excited to build something from the ground up
  • Based in or around Los Angeles, available for events and occasional team meetups

Nice to Have

  • Experience with email platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar)
  • Existing relationships with illustrators or visual artists
  • Prior experience at a record label, artist management company, or music-adjacent brand

To Apply

Send a resume, links to relevant work (social accounts, campaigns, or writing samples), and a couple of sentences on why Hit Snooze's approach to ambient music resonates with you.
