Job Description

The Communications Head is responsible for developing and implementing an effective communications strategy that enhances the organization’s brand, reputation, and overall communication efforts. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of various communication channels.

Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
    2. Manage all internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, website content, and social media.
    3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media outlets, partners, and community members.
    4. Oversee the creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, videos, and presentations.
    5. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and make adjustments as necessary.
    6. Provide strategic communication counsel to senior leadership and other departments within the organization.
    7. Manage a team of communication professionals, including writers, designers, and social media specialists.
    8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communication and marketing.

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    2. Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies in a corporate or nonprofit setting.
    3. Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
    4. Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
    5. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    6. Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
    7. Experience managing a team of communication professionals is a plus.
