The ideal candidate is a strategic, experienced communications professional who can maintain a consistent and recognizable brand, increase visibility for our people and firms, lead crisis communications, and support business growth and talent recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Brand
  • Communications strategy. Develop and implement long-term communication plans aligned with TSG’s goals, mission, and brand identity.
  •  Brand and message consistency. Ensure all company materials carry consistent messaging and branding.
  • Media relations. Build and maintain relationships with reporters and editors across TSG’s markets. Conduct proactive outreach and pitch stories, positioning TSG leaders as subject matter experts.
  •  Press releases. Prepare and issue releases on firm performance, new hires, and key business expansions.
  • Spokesperson. Field and respond to media inquiries and serve as the firm’s spokesperson.
  • Thought leadership. Run a year-round thought leadership campaign: identify opportunities for partner recognition and feature coverage, select candidates for awards and lists, and prepare and submit nominations.
  • Media monitoring. Track coverage and flag mentions of TSG, its entities, and key stakeholders.
Crisis Communications
  • Crisis readiness and response. Own TSG’s crisis communications plan, lead rapid response when issues arise, and coordinate with legal counsel and firm leadership before any statement is made public.
Executive and Internal Communications
  • Executive communications. Write speeches, remarks, talking points, and leadership bios. Prepare partners and executives for interviews and public appearances through media training.
  • Internal communications. Develop and deliver staff announcements, leadership messages, and change communications that keep employees across all TSG entities informed and engaged.
Owned and Paid Channels
  • Owned channels (with the Communications Manager). Build, distribute, and measure a consistent firm wide newsletter, and post and engage on TSG’s firm-wide social media.
  • Website and digital. Oversee content, updates, and performance of TSG websites, keeping leadership profiles, news, and firm information current and on brand.
  • Paid media. Manage a proactive paid media program, including creative development, placement deadlines, and native placements secured through sponsorships.
Business Growth and Events
  • Business development support. Partner with firm leaders to produce proposal materials, pitch decks, capability statements, and other client-facing content.
  • Recruiting support. Shape employer brand messaging and recruiting materials that help TSG attract top talent.
  • Events and sponsorships. Plan and support firm events and maximize the value of TSG sponsorships through on-site presence, promotion, and follow-up coverage.
Management and Measurement
  • Budget and vendor management. Own the communications and paid media budget, and manage agencies, designers, photographers, and other outside vendors.
  • Measurement and reporting. Set key performance indicators for earned, owned, and paid channels, and report results and recommendations to leadership on a regular basis.
Supervisor Responsibilities
