Job Summary:
The Lending Specialist will coordinate the preparation of required loan documentation, coordinate the execution of loan documents, organize workflow to allow for on-time loan closings. Follow up with clients, insurance agents, title companies, and attorneys will also be required. This position also clients with deposits, treasury and lending services. The Lending Specialist will also provide administrative and sales support to the Commercial Relationship Managers and the Regional President. Occasionally, the Lending Specialist may be required to provide coverage of retail branch – greeting customers, providing limited support to the Office Manager and Assistant Office Manager.

- Handles ongoing loan requests, including new loans, renewals, modifications, and extensions
- Works directly with Loan Operations so that loans are processed accurately and efficiently
- Works with customers to obtain required loan documentation
- Provides exceptional customer service to clients on deposits, treasury and lending requests.
- Reviews and clears loan exceptions weekly
- Gathers documents needed for annual loan reviews
- Ability to provide administrative and sales support to Relationship Managers and Regional President as needed.
- Assist in servicing active loans, monitor past due reports and maturing loan reports.
- Assists with the processing of loan payments, payoffs, and advances
- Maintains a working knowledge of bank loan policy and federal and state banking regulations, as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma required.
- At least two years of clerical, administrative support or general office experience
- At least one year of loan processing experience.
- Experience in Commercial Lending preferred.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Computer and Office Equipment Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
