What you will do:
As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect at Quantiphi, you will be instrumental in our Platform Engineering team, leading the delivery of advanced solutions in Application Development, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Machine Learning for our clients. This role requires experience in workload migration from on-premise datacenter environments to AWS, enabling clients to leverage the full potential of cloud capabilities.
Basic Qualifications (BQ):
- AWS Cloud Migration (EC2, EBS, VPCs, Migration Hub, MGN).
- VMware environment assessment & migration planning.
- Wave planning, dependency analysis, stakeholder engagement.
- Strong AWS architecture, security, and compliance knowledge.
Cloud Migration Expertise:
- Understanding of different Migration approaches (Rs) with recent experience.
- Experience with on-prem VMware/other platform based Virtual Machine Lift and Shift (REHOST) migration to AWS EC2 instance based architectures.
- Previous work experience with tools like Cloud Endure, Double-Take, AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS). Good to have understanding of Database servers.
- Expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, auto-scaling, Landing Zone, and Control Tower.
- Proficiency in using AWS Migration Evaluator and Portfolio Assessment tools to analyze migration strategies.
- Well-versed in service-oriented architecture and cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns, and frameworks.
- Good understanding of Windows or Linux OS. Experience with troubleshooting Linux/Windows OS issues while migrating. Good to have handled Database server migrations also.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-related services such as compute, storage, network, and messaging (e.g., SNS, SQS).
Other Qualifications (OQ):
- Familiarity on-prem VMware ecosystem such as vSphere, vCenter, ESX, NSX.
- Familiarity with vMotion, VM Export/Import and integrating with AWS.
- Skills in monitoring cloud infrastructure and application performance using tools like Amazon CloudWatch.
- Experience in optimizing database queries and application performance following migration.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
