About Linero

Linero is building the operational infrastructure that ensures the world's most sensitive technologies reach the right hands, and never the wrong ones.

Our customers include some of the most consequential companies in the world: leading AI labs, aerospace and defense primes, semiconductor giants, quantum computing pioneers, and companies pushing the frontier in chemicals, advanced manufacturing, and robotics.

We are an AI-native, venture-backed company creating a new category of software at the intersection of national security, industrial infrastructure, and enterprise AI.

The Role

The Chief of Staff at Linero works directly alongside the CEO, embedded in the most consequential decisions, conversations, and initiatives shaping the company. This is a true right-hand role: a strategic thought partner operating at the center of the business during a formative period when the decisions being made will define Linero for years to come.

You will work across the full scope of the company: product strategy, fundraising, policy, customer relationships, partnerships, hiring, operations, and the constant stream of high-stakes priorities that demand executive attention. You will help drive critical initiatives from inception to execution, bring structure to ambiguity, and ensure important work moves quickly and with precision. The role is highly dynamic and will evolve rapidly as the company grows.

What You'll Own

  • Partner directly with the CEO on high-stakes decisions, synthesizing information from across the business, pressure-testing thinking, and ensuring the right calls get made at the right time

  • Own specific business functions on an interim basis until dedicated leadership is hired

  • Own and drive cross-functional initiatives that don't fit neatly into any one team's remit

  • Support the CEO across investor, customer, and policy engagements

  • Monitor the pulse of the organization, identifying gaps, misalignments, and opportunities before they become problems

  • Drive knowledge management and operational efficiency across the organization, leveraging AI to automate workflows

  • Draft and own high-stakes written communications: internal memos, external correspondence, investor updates, and strategic documents

  • Represent the CEO in meetings and conversations where delegation is appropriate

  • Help shape Linero's culture through the functions and initiatives you own

What We're Looking For

  • Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or similarly rigorous intellectual environment

  • Graduate of a leading university; JD, MBA, or military background is a plus

  • Exceptional attention to detail and zero-defect standards

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication

  • Demonstrated leadership; you have led teams, driven outcomes, and earned the trust of people above and below you

  • Comfortable with rapid context switching and shifting priorities

  • A bias for action and a high tolerance for ambiguity

  • Intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in the geopolitical and national security landscape

  • High emotional intelligence; you read people and rooms accurately, and you know when to push and when to listen

  • Strong taste; an eye for quality in design, writing, communication, and presentation

  • A resource to the entire organization, not just the CEO; approachable, generous with time, and trusted across the team

  • High integrity and discretion; you will be trusted with sensitive information across all areas of the business

  • Based in New York City

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience

  • Early equity in a company with proven market demand and a clear growth trajectory

  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision

  • Broad ownership and exposure across a wide range of functions

  • A leading role in one of the most consequential technology buildouts of our time

Equal Opportunity & Eligibility

  • Linero is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

  • This role requires access to export-controlled information, as a result, applicants must be U.S. persons (citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) as defined under applicable U.S. law.

  • Start date is immediate, with flexibility for the right candidate. If you are not based in New York, we can accommodate remote work for an initial period and offer relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.
