JotPsych makes software for behavioral health clinicians. Our scribe has drafted more than 2.5 million patient notes and cuts administrative time by about 90%, and we are expanding from the note into the whole practice: billing, audit, prior authorization, e-prescribing. We are a small team in New York, and every non-engineering hire starts as Chief of Staff.
You take on whatever the company needs most, week to week: a sales problem, an operations problem, a product problem, the work that sits between the founders and everything that is not getting done. Nothing is off the table.
THE ROLE
We hand you an open-ended problem and you return it solved. Not analyzed, not framed as a deck, not handed back as a list of options. Solved. Don't tell us the answer, do the answer. That one line is most of the job. You use AI heavily, and you never ship its output unread. Craft, not sheer output, is our core value.
THE SHAPE OF THE WORK, FROM REAL EXAMPLES
Get attribution and customer-journey tracking right end to end for tens of thousands of weekly site visitors. Find where new clinics stall in their first two weeks and design the change that moves that number most. Map the prescriber funnel from onboarding to first prescription and write the next backlog item, scoped for engineering. Pick one referral channel, run a real experiment, and bring back a clear read on whether it is worth scaling.
WHO YOU PROBABLY ARE
A systems thinker who breaks a messy problem into parts that do not overlap and do not leave gaps. Technically adventurous: not an engineer, but you build scripts, automations, and prototypes. Someone who does not need managing.
LOGISTICS
Full-time, in our New York office, five days a week. $130,000 to $160,000 base plus meaningful equity. Health and dental coverage, a 401(k) plan, a stipend for your laptop and setup. Our last Chief of Staff now runs growth and operations; expect to be promoted within a year.

Skills Required

What We Do
JotPsych started with a scribe: software that listens to a session, drafts the note, and hands the clinician something they can sign and submit before the next patient walks in. It cuts administrative time for clinicians by about 90%. We're now expanding from the note into the rest of the work that keeps clinicians from their patients: billing, audit, prior-auth, the full revenue cycle. The bigger we get, the more it looks like we're building the EHR that behavioral health should have had a decade ago.
