The Opportunity

Xsens is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as the operational and strategic right hand to the CEO and senior management team. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic exposure, bringing structure, discipline, and follow-through to a fast-growing, high-tech organization. Working across a broad range of operational and strategic initiatives, the Chief of Staff will help leadership accelerate execution, improve cross-functional collaboration, and ensure key priorities are delivered. It is a unique opportunity for a high-potential professional to gain direct exposure to senior leadership, board-level dynamics, and the strategic decisions that shape a scaling technology company.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief of Staff serves as a critical operational and strategic partner to the CEO and senior management team, helping accelerate growth and drive operational excellence across the organization. The Chief of Staff manages and drives execution across a broad range of cross-departmental strategic and operational initiatives, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely delivery.

As Xsens continues to expand its product offerings and market presence across its two business segments, BSN and A&M, as well as the fast-growing humanoid robotics and drone sectors, the leadership team requires a trusted day-to-day operator who can coordinate and lead cross-functional initiatives without requiring their direct involvement in every detail. Working closely with the CEO and the broader management team, the Chief of Staff ensures priorities are translated into execution, tracks progress across the business, and removes obstacles to keep critical initiatives moving forward. The role works across all functions without formal reporting authority, influencing stakeholders through structure, communication, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a cross-department operational point of contact for the leadership team, tracking open initiatives, decisions, and follow-ups across business units and shared functions.
  • Own the preparation and follow-up of key operating meetings, including QBRs, monthly business reviews, and leadership meetings, ensuring materials are prepared, decisions are documented, and action items are completed on time.
  • Drive cross-functional strategic and operational projects on behalf of the leadership team, coordinating across BSN, A&M, Engineering, Finance, HR, and other functions, while proactively identifying and escalating risks or blockers.
  • Monitor OKR and business performance against agreed objectives, identify deviations early, and prepare concise updates that provide leadership with a clear view of progress across the organization.
  • Support the CEO and leadership team on strategic and analytical initiatives, including market analyses, business cases, board materials, investor presentations, and other high-impact deliverables.

Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in management consulting (top-tier firm) or investment banking.
  • Pre-MBA or equivalent career stage.
  • Exceptionally organized, structured, and disciplined with excellent follow-through.
  • Comfortable holding senior stakeholders accountable for commitments without formal authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-structuring skills, with experience delivering high-stakes analyses and presentations.
  • Familiarity with financial and business analysis, including comfort working with budgets, forecasts, and basic financial statements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to write clearly, facilitate discussions, and represent leadership priorities with confidence; Dutch is considered a plus.
  • Based in the Netherlands, with willingness to work on-site in Enschede a minimum of two days per week.

Benefits

This is a genuine opportunity to work at the heart of a scaling technology company, partnering directly with the CEO and senior management team on both strategic and operational priorities.
