Minimum Requirements: 

  • The Cath/EP Technology Intern must meet the requirements of senior student status as established by their academic institution. 
  • Additionally, the Cath/EP Technology Intern much provide proof of enrollment in an accredited radiology technology program. 
  • The Cath/EP Technology Intern must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit/dept. 
  • The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient requirements relative to his/her age- specific needs, and to provide care needed as description in the departments Standard Operating Procedure Manual. 
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence. 

Skills Required

  • Senior student status as established by the academic institution
  • Enrollment in an accredited radiology technology program
  • Knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care
  • Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
  • Ability to assess patient-status data and interpret information to identify age-specific needs
  • Ability to provide care according to the department's Standard Operating Procedure Manual
  • Ability to deliver outstanding customer service consistent with CarolinaEast standards
