As a Business Operations Associate at Luminary, you will help shape how a rapidly growing enterprise software company operates and scales.
You will partner with leaders across the business to solve operational challenges, strengthen core processes, and lead initiatives that support our next stage of growth. Your work will span commercial operations, finance, contracting, and business reporting, combining hands-on execution with opportunities to design better systems and influence how we operate.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, exercises sound judgment, and wants the autonomy to take a problem from initial diagnosis through implementation. You will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with senior leaders across Luminary.
Own and improve core business workflows across billing, contracting, vendor management, and sales and customer operations
Lead cross-functional operational projects, translating business needs into clear plans and driving them through completion
Improve CRM data quality, reporting, and workflows so teams have reliable visibility into pipeline, revenue, and customer activity
Evaluate commercial documentation and operational data, resolve issues, and bring recommendations to stakeholders when decisions require broader input
Manage customer due diligence and other commercial requirements, coordinating contributions across teams
Develop analyses and reporting that surface trends, inform decisions, and improve business performance
Identify opportunities to scale how we work through better systems, automation, and process design
You bring relevant experience in business operations, finance, consulting, or a similarly analytical and execution-oriented role; we expect most candidates to have 2-4+ years of experience, but value demonstrated capability over a specific tenure
Experience in revenue operations or sales operations, including hands-on CRM administration, reporting, and workflow automation, is particularly valuable; familiarity with HubSpot is a plus
You have a track record of owning projects or processes independently and delivering measurable improvements
You combine strong analytical skills with practical business judgment and are comfortable working with spreadsheets, business systems, and operational data
You can move between detailed execution and broader questions about how a process should work as the business grows
You communicate clearly, build effective working relationships, and drive progress across teams
You are comfortable interpreting contracts, policies, and financial information, handling sensitive matters, and recognizing when specialist input is needed
You bring structure to ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and take accountability for outcomes
You use AI and automation thoughtfully to improve how work gets done
Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or a regulated industry is helpful but not required
You are REAL — Resilient, Empathetic, Accountable, and Low-Ego
Own meaningful work with direct visibility into company priorities and decisions
Partner closely with senior leaders and influence how Luminary operates as we scale
Build broad experience across business functions while developing deeper ownership in areas aligned with your strengths
See the impact of your ideas quickly, with room for your scope and responsibility to grow alongside the company
We believe firmly that happy, healthy employees will do their best work.

What We Do
More than $100 billion in family and philanthropic giving capacity is created each year. But flaws in the current process impose over a billion in annual costs in order to access it. We are building the first product for wealth managers to automate the complex, and inefficient estate planning process Luminary is a data and collaboration platform purpose built for trust & estate services. Our software digitizes information otherwise trapped in original documents, and connects it with applications for visualization, what-if analysis, tax value creation tracking, and custom reporting. We also enable third-parties to work seamlessly in service of a shared client. Luminary’s customers are leaders in the delivery of trust & estate outcomes for complex clients, including wealth managers, professional services practices, and family offices. Luminary is founded by David Barnard (CEO), former Head of Private Wealth at AllianceBernstein, and Joe Lonsdale (Chair), managing partner at 8VC and co-founder of Addepar and Palantir, among other companies. We are backed by leading venture capital investors, prominent wealth management firms, as well as several family offices.
