Location:
We have offices in New York, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, and Gurgaon. We welcome you to work in our Gurgaon office, but you also have the opportunity to work from home.
About the role:
Data at TMB is seeking a skilled, creative, and technically well-rounded Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team.
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Intelligence and Revenue Operations, the BI Analyst serves as a strategic bridge between the business and the broader Data organization. The Analyst works with business stakeholders to solve complex problems, clarify objectives, challenge assumptions, and translate ambiguous needs into well-defined analytical problems.
The BI Analyst is instrumental in helping the business make the right decision. This may mean developing an analytical model, building a scalable reporting solution, partnering with data engineering to improve the underlying data, or working with data science on more advanced analytical approaches. Rather than simply producing dashboards or responding to requests, the analyst sits at the intersection of the data and the business to ensure the organization truly has the best business intelligence.
About you:
You are a curious, commercially minded analyst who enjoys turning complex business problems into clear, scalable analytical solutions. You are comfortable working directly with stakeholders to understand their goals, challenge and refine requirements, and determine the right analytical approach, rather than simply responding to requests at face value. You see challenges as an opportunity and thrive in ambiguous environments.
You combine strong business judgment with analytical and technical fluency, allowing you to move from a complex question to a useful recommendation. You are proficient in Excel, SQL, and general data modeling. You can use technology as a means to best convey your story.
You are proactive, independent, and comfortable forming a point of view from the data. You communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, collaborate effectively across teams, and are excited about using emerging technologies, including AI, to make analytics more scalable, efficient, and impactful.
Your day-day: (aka Responsibilities)
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Develop analytical models to answer forecasting, testing, performance, and other business questions
  • Analyze business performance, identify key drivers, and explain meaningful variances and trends
  • Build executive-level presentations that turn analysis into clear recommendations and business narratives
  • Create and maintain scalable dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical frameworks
  • Work across Excel, Power BI, Data Studio, SQL, and other analytical tools to solve business problems
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science when problems require deeper data infrastructure or advanced analytical approaches.
  • Improve the accuracy, usability, and scalability of the data and reporting used by the business
You have:
  • 2–4+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong business judgment and understanding about what is driving performance
  • Experience developing analytical models, reporting, or other decision support tools
  • Ability to translate analysis into concise recommendations and executive-level presentations.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and general data architecture principles
  • Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and BI tools such as Power BI, Data Studio, Looker, or Tableau
  • Extremely strong communication skills and experience working directly with business stakeholders
  • An independent and proactive mindset with comfort forming a point of view
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application to analytics is a plus.
