Digi Security Systems | Dallas, TX (in-person)

Digi Security Systems is an industry leader in the design, installation, and support of custom video surveillance, electronic access control, and intrusion detection solutions for public and private partners. We've built our reputation on innovation and reliable service, and we're known as the industry's experts. We're also part of one of the fastest-growing security integration platforms in the country, and every bit of that growth is built on one rule we take seriously: people are our purpose.

Position Overview

Security technology is one of the fastest-growing spaces in commercial services, and Digi is looking for a driven, early-career sales professional ready to break into the industry as a Business Development Representative (BDR).

This is where you learn enterprise sales from the ground up: how to open a conversation with a CIO who's never heard of Digi and how to turn a cold name on a list into a real opportunity. You'll be the first voice potential prospects hear from Digi, generating new business by landing new logos and converting marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) into sales-qualified leads (SQLs). With that kind of visibility into the pipeline, this role has real influence on how fast we grow.

This role has a clear career path and room for advancement. How fast you get there depends on what you make of the opportunity, but the room to grow is real, and it's one of the reasons this seat exists.

What You'll Do
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients across Digi's core verticals, including K-12 and higher education, government and municipal, healthcare, enterprise and industrial, energy, and data centers
  • Engage enterprise buyers, from CTOs, CIOs, and CSOs to facilities managers and superintendents, to understand their security pain points and needs
  • Work closely with the marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness. Partner with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of SQLs for closing
  • Run outbound and inbound prospecting across calls, email, and LinkedIn, converting trade show and marketing leads into qualified opportunities for the sales team, promptly following up to nurture relationships and schedule discovery calls or demos.
  • Own the front end of the sales cycle, handing qualified opportunities off to an AE or AM who owns the solution and the close, then stay close to the opportunities you bring in the door and follow the process to close
  • Accurately track all lead interactions, pipeline progress, and follow-up activities in the company’s CRM system
  • Learn directly from experienced security sales professionals in the field and learn how to design and prescribe highly technical security solutions
What You'll Bring
  • Curiosity. You genuinely want to understand a prospect's business and what's actually keeping them up at night
  • Coachability. You treat every call and every piece of feedback as a chance to get better, and you actively look for ways to improve
  • Drive. You're comfortable with a high-activity, high-energy pace and you want to earn your way into more responsibility
  • Resilience. You stay energized and consistent through a high volume of outreach, and every no just moves you closer to the next yes
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation for this role is a combination of a competitive base salary plus commission.

  • Commission structure tied to activity and won business
  • 401k + company match
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Full health benefits, medical, dental and vision available
  • Training/licensing paid for by company
  • Voluntary professional development opportunities
  • Company laptop, company phone, uniforms and gear
